Philippe Starck-designed Zimku wireless speakers

It looks like prolific designer Philippe Starck now has a tower-style speaker system to call his own. Considering that Starck has paired up with the wireless-minded folks at Parrot, however, there's a few more surprises in store with these -- namely, built-in WiFi and Bluetooth to accommodate your laptop or cellphone of choice.
You will still get an iPod / iPhone dock, of course, along with a remote control (also designed by Starck), and some newfangled NXT technology that apparently "revolutionises traditional acoustic design." All that comes at an expectedly premium price approx £1000.

How soon is xmas?

WOW...Great feedback on my new website

So my site (Styles Webbin) has been launched a couple of months now, time for a quick update on how things are going...
I have had some really good feedback and my site has been included in design galleries all over the world, below is a list of galleries the website is currently showcasing on:

http://creattica.com/business-cards/latest-designs?page=2
http://www.mostinspired.com/
http://www.screenalicious.com/#
http://cssbrigit.com/

The most hits (google) I have received is from the Drupal community, my site was picked for the homepage 'featured sites' and the Drupal community really seemed to dig my design.

Thanks to all!

I am not content tho and I am currently re-designing the homepage to be cleaner and easier to navigate...I am still keeping the look and feel of the design but focussing more on usability and navigational issues.

Look out for this soon

Picture of the week...

Hiking by Lake Minnewanka, Melissa Brandts and her husband stopped to take a photo by some rocks. Intrigued by the whirring sounds emanating from the camera, a curious ground squirrel popped into the shot just as the timer expired and the photo was taken...

Logo realisation

I have not had it for a while; you know the feeling when you look at a logo trying to work it out then suddenly Blam! It hits you and you wondered why you never saw the obvious link in the first place.

Oh and these guys make things you really don’t need (or do i!)

Yellow Bird - Such a good idea.

YellowBird is a startup in the Netherlands which has developed its own interactive 3-D video technology, including a 360-degree video camera, software to take the data captured by the camera and stitch it together, and a video player that allows anyone to navigate the video by dragging their mouse around.

Visual identity for the St David’s centre, in the heart of the Welsh capital

“The overall identity is based on the thought that hundreds of thousands of people will gather and use the new centre as their meeting-place, and our ‘people’ diagrams swiftly became the beginnings of the entire scheme.”

The Criterion Collection

Stumbled across this beauty of a website, I guess to some people this type of design will not appeal, but the minimal use of colours/fonts/layout add a classic timeless feel to the site, this site will look good now and will look good in five years time...

The usability is not bad either, have a play...

Live Chat

I had never been a big fan of Live Chat on websites and currently at Spring Digital we have in operation, to be fair its gets mixed results but offer’s the ‘Shy’ user a chance to contact us on a non-committal basis

I then started to have problems with my ebay account, and found that they now offer a Live Chat option, this gives you the opportunity to talk ‘msn’ style to a eBay rep, my experience was really good, I was able to chat about my concerns in a really open way and at no point did I feel they were trying to end the chat, making sure my account was fully restored to it 74* 100% feedback...Walking me through each step even waiting while I reset password and other tech stuff...

Yes sometimes it’s nice to be hand held on the web, even if you think you are the most savvy of Desk jockeys..
